The Brooklyn Meadows Umpires Association “BMUA”, established in 1991 has rapidly grown into NYC’s largest and most recognized amateur softball umpire organization. The BMUA dedicates itself to its dual mission of professionalism and quality softball officiating by providing the following services:
(1) Assigning A.S.A. registered umpires to leagues for their spring, summer and fall seasons.
(2) Training Officials – our staff consists of top quality officials who have all been professionally trained and are currently working. The training offered by the BMUA is by far the most advanced training in New York City. We offer umpire training and weekend clinics to anyone dedicated to officiating. If you have never umpired before, the BMUA will teach you and give you the confidence to go out on the field and perform in a professional manner. The BMUA is committed in setting a standard of rules knowledge, and consistent umpiring skills.
